It's hard to believe that it has been just over 14 years since my last treatment for Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I am taking part in the 22nd annual Hope in Motion (Walk, Run & Ride – Blooming Metric) event on Sunday, June 3, 2018 to raise funds to support Stamford Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center which is celebrating its 26th Anniversary. I have registered to ride the Blooming Metric on Sunday May 20th on my mountain bike.
Unfortunately, we are all impacted by the effects of Cancer and my goal is to raise money to support those who are going through treatment/recovery from treatment and to expand the alternatives to those diagnosed and to ultimately prevent the disease.
The Bennett Cancer Center is accredited as a “Teaching Hospital Cancer Program” by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. This is the highest designation available to a community hospital.
The center treats over 1,000 new patients each year. Cancer treatment is expensive and our goal is to improve the patient's quality-of-life with the programs offered by the Bennett Cancer Center. With your help we hope to raise over a $1,000,000 at this year's event.
