Cancer knows no boundaries and unfortunately, has affected us all in one way or another. We are so fortunate that Stamford Health's Bennett Cancer Center offers such important quality of life programs, here in our own backyard, to aid our cancer patients on their road to recovery. From Cancer Recovery Programs and Survivorship Training to Transportation to and from chemotherapy appointments - these are just some of the programs that help our patients get back on their feet - both physically and emotionally!
Our community is so blessed to have these important quality of life services offered free of charge! You may ask yourself, how is that possible? All the funds raised through the Hope in Motion Walk and Run go directly to fund these services, so you can feel confident that your donation is being put to good use. Your gift will truly make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
As you may know, I serve on the Stamford Hospital Foundation's Board of Directors. As the Chair of the 23rd Annual Hope in Motion Walk and Run, I dedicate a tremendous amount of time and energy to this event. This is a cause I am extremely passionate about, as I know that each year we are doing so much good in the community and each year these funds need to be replenished. This past year, alone, we provided close to 3,100 rides to and from treatment and almost 3,000 integrative medicine/wellness therapies, just to name a few of our successes.
Please join our family and friends on NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVOR'S DAY, Sunday, June 3rd and take part in the largest participatory fundraiser in Fairfield County. YOU CAN TRULY MAKE A DIFFERENCE. If you are unable to join us, please consider making a tax-deductible donation.
