My name is Kathleen (“Kathy”) Weberg and I am a current cancer patient at the Bennett Cancer Center in Stamford, CT.
My life changed in September 2018, when I heard those 3 words "you have cancer." I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer which cancer spread to my lymph nodes.
It has been quite the journey for me and my family, with a calendar full of tests, biopsies, surgeries, injections, bloodwork, chemo, meds and now radiation and then more surgeries to come. But I have hope and faith that I will beat this and I am a fighter! And, one day will call myself a survivor!
Dr. Lo and his oncology team at the Bennett Cancer Center have been with me every step of the way, cheering me on, giving me emotional support and keeping me informed on my medical treatment. I never met a more caring group of people.
I walk for the "Hope in Motion" event because I believe the Bennett Cancer Center is a fantastic facility that provides many amenities, and the funds we raise will help those that need it most.
Donations raised through the Hope in Motion Walk & Run event go directly to the Bennett Cancer Center, so you can feel confident your donation is being put to good use. These services directly benefit the patients and their families and include integrative medicine, exercise and educational programs, restorative treatments and transportation.
We will take to the streets of downtown Stamford on Sunday, June 2nd to Walk and Run and raise funds for the patients and families of the Bennett Cancer Center! No patient should have to navigate their cancer journey alone — so we Walk and Run with them every step of the way.
Please help us reach our million dollar fundraising goal by making a donation by clicking on the "DONATE NOW" button on the top right of the screen.
Thank you! I am so appreciative and I know the cancer patients and their families are too!
