On Sunday June 2 I will be walking in Bennett Cancer Center's Hope in Motion annual fundraiser in downtown Stamford.
As an oncology/palliative care social worker at Stamford Hospital's Bennett Cancer Center, I am regularly face to face with the physical, emotional and financial burdens a cancer diagnosis can have on patients and families. Just as frequently I have the privilege of seeing first hand the tremendous positive impact that funds raised have on easing these burdens. Hope in Motion makes it possible for BCC to offer free programs to patients/families, from diagnosis through survivorship. Offerings include counseling, financial assistance, social work support, transportation services, nutrition, exercise programs and intergrative medicine, just to name a few. It is an honor to support patients/families facing serious illness, and it's rewarding to see the direct impact these programs and offerings have in making a real difference during a most challenging time.
If you would like to help me reach my goal for the Walk & Run 2019, please click the Donate Now button on the right. You can also join me on June 2nd to Run or Walk!
Thank you for your support. I couldn't do it without you.
Feel free to check back and see my progress!
